We appreciate your interest in our ceramic atelier. The protection of your privacy is very important to us. Below we inform you in detail about how we handle your personal data in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. ACCESS DATA AND HOSTING

You can visit our website without providing personal information. When you access our website, the web server automatically stores a so-called server log file, which includes information such as the name of the requested file, your IP address, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, and the requesting provider (access data).

This access data is analyzed exclusively to ensure the smooth operation of the website and to improve our services. This serves our legitimate interests in the proper presentation of our services in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. All access data is processed only as long as necessary to achieve the processing purposes mentioned above.

Website Hosting

2. DATA PROCESSING FOR ORDER AND WORKSHOP FULFILLMENT

We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order or workshop booking, or when you contact us (e.g., via contact form or email). Mandatory fields are marked as such because we require this data to process your order or booking.

The following data may be collected:

  • When you purchase ceramic products:

  • Name

  • Billing and shipping address

  • Email address

  • Phone number (optional)

  • Payment information (processed securely by third-party payment providers)

  • When you register for workshops:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Payment details

  • Any additional notes or special requirements

  • When you contact us:

  • Content of your inquiry

We use the data you provide to fulfill contracts and process your requests (including inquiries and fulfillment of any warranty claims) in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. After complete fulfillment of the contract, your data will be restricted for further processing and deleted after expiration of tax and commercial retention periods in accordance with Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data according to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Retention Periods:

  • Order and tax-related data: 10 years (German legal requirement)

  • Workshop registrations: 3 years

  • Contact inquiries: 1 year after completion

3. DATA PROCESSING FOR SHIPPING

To fulfill the contract in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, we share your data with the shipping service provider commissioned with delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of ordered goods. We work with standard shipping carriers such as DHL, Deutsche Post, or similar services.

4. DATA PROCESSING FOR PAYMENT

When processing payments in our online shop, we work with payment service providers (such as PayPal, Stripe, or bank transfers). Depending on the selected payment method, we transfer the data necessary for processing the payment transaction to our technical service providers, to the commissioned credit institutions, or to the selected payment service provider, insofar as this is necessary to process the payment. This serves to fulfill the contract in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

In some cases, payment service providers collect the data required to process payment themselves, e.g., on their own website or through technical integration in the ordering process. The privacy policy of the respective payment service provider applies in this regard.

We may also share data with our service providers for fraud prevention and optimization of our payment processes in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5. COOKIES AND TECHNOLOGIES

To make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use technologies including so-called cookies on various pages. 7. SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE

We maintain online presences on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest to communicate with customers and interested parties and to inform them about our ceramic products and workshops.

When you visit our social media profiles, the respective platform operators process your data. Please refer to the privacy policies of the respective platforms.

Data processing when visiting our social media pages is based on agreements between joint controllers in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR. For the USA, there is no adequacy decision by the European Commission. Our cooperation is based on standard contractual clauses.
