Vase Workshop

This session is dedicated to the art of building ceramic vessels by hand. Working without the pottery wheel allows for a deliberate and structural approach, where you can focus on the architecture of the piece. You will learn how to construct, stabilize, and refine raw clay into expressive forms using professional hand-building techniques. You will build one large sculptural piece. To highlight the raw, tactile quality of the clay, the outside remains unglazed, while the inside is glazed to make it functional. If desired, you can decorate the outside of your vessel using various techniques, such as stamps or underglazes, to add unique textures or details. The workshop focuses on creative exploration and technical skill – suitable for both beginners and experienced makers. You will finish the session with a unique, hand-built piece that reflects your own aesthetic and vision.
